South Sudan resumes a third of oil output

South Sudan has resumed a third of its oil production after a 16-month hiatus, government and oil company officials say. Wells that can produce around 125,000 b/d have restarted. “By 20 June, we will be lifting the first cargo in Port Sudan,” South Sudan’s oil minister Stephen Dhieu Dau says. Liftings should start on 17-24 June, when 600,000-1mn bl will have accumulated for ships to export.
