SQM to take cornerstone stake in Azure

SQM has made an initial $4.2 million investment in Azure at 25.64c, a 13.9 premium to Azure's last closing price on Friday. The two-stage transaction will see SQM invest a further $15.8 million in Azure at the same price to take its stake to 19.99. The second tranche is conditional on due diligence and Azure entering into an offtake agreement with SQM for 25 of all lithium product in which Azure has an interest.
