Edison Reiterates that it Could Sell 25 % of its Interest in the Abu Qir Concession

At a press conference following the signing of the concession agreement for the offshore Abu Qir fields between Edison International Spa, the Egyptian Oil Minister, Mr. Sameh Fahmy, and Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) on 15 January, the Chief Executive Officer of the Italian company, Mr. Umberto Quadrino, reiterated that Edison could sell a 25% interest in the concession to a third party, "if the price is right." He added that Edison might also sell 10% of its own equity.
