Bayer's Crop Science division recorded a 37.3 rise in crop protection sales to €2,918 million($2,947 million at the average rate for the period)in its third quarter ended September 30th.The figure includes sales of herbicides,fungicides,insecticides and revenues under"other"business,which is dominated by seed treatments,besides oilseed rape and cotton seeds.General inflation buoyed prices,which were the main component of nominal growth across the division,followed closely by positive currency effects.
