Algerian Crude Starting to Penetrate the Asian Market,According to Sonatrach

The Algerian Sahara Blend exported by Sonatrach goes mainly to markets in Western Europe and North America.According to the national oil company,of the 25 million tons of this crude exported in 2003,these two regions absorbed 49% and 37% respectively.Sonatrach points out,however,that Algerian crude has started to penetrate the Asian market and that contracts have been signed with Indonesian and Chinese companies.
