Corteva progresses gene-edited maize technology

Corteva Agriscience says that it has progressed a “gamechanging” gene edited disease-resistant maize technology. The company claims that the “ground-breaking plant breeding approach” developed using CRISPR technology will initially be applied to diseases affecting North American maize, adding that it has the potential to be scaled to other crops, or be otherwise tailored to geographies.
