Sumitomo Chemical’s health and crop sciences business up 26 in 2022/23

Sumitomo Chemical’s health and crop sciences division clocked a 26.3% rise in revenues to ￥598,400 million ($4,425 million at the average rate for the period) in its fiscal year ended March 31 2023. Segment operating profit during the year shot up nearly 36% to ￥57,300 million ($423.7 million). Agrochemicals accounted for 79.3% of the division’s revenues in the previous fiscal year.
