France to invest €65 m in dig ag initiatives

France will invest €65 million ($69.5 million at the current rate) over eight years to accelerate digital agriculture and agroecology in the nation. Its Priority Research Programme and Equipment (PEPR) to that effect is part of France’s 2030 targets. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty outlines four key initiatives: supporting changes in agricultural practices through the use of technology; utilising animal and plant genetic resources; developing new generations of agricultural equipment; and developing digital decision-making tools, especially ones based on articial intelligence (AI).
