Nichino Europe acquires Interagro

Nihon Nohyaku's European unit, Nichino Europe, has acquired UK-based adjuvant company Interagro (Bishop's Stortford). The former looks to grow its product portfolio in Europe beyond synthetic pesticides by incorporating Interagro's product line-up, development, marketing, and sales know-how in biologicals. Nihon Nohyaku notes regulations for synthetic chemical pesticides being tightened in the EU and puts emphasis on the need for business development in biological products.
