MEPs raise concerns about impact of inflation on CAP budget

Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) have raised concerns that inflation will erode the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) support to European farmers in the coming years. At their first meeting of the year on Monday (9 January), the Parliament's Agriculture Committee (AGRI) grilled EU Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski about the effects of rising prices on the CAP's current budget for the 2023-27 period.
