The approaching winter is further depressing a Jordanian rebar market already hampered by a lack of large steel-consuming projects. Product prices have fallen to their lowest level this year, despite production costs increasing after billet imports were re-routed through Aqaba port due to the war in neighbouring Syria, market participants told Platts this week.
