CONTINUOUS CASTING

摘要

Despite the fundamental researches achieved in this field and the successes realized , the covering slags are still being incriminated for quality surface defaults and even for more important ones. At present, there is no relation between the various parameters that can characterize a powder and its behaviour towards the quality of the cast products. In order to be satisfying the covering powders should have a great number of properties that appear successively during the operation, starting from the cold powder up to the final smelt slag. This operation has to meet with contradictory properties that need a judicious compromise be made in order to get satisfactory results.
