Linde Becomes the Majority Shareholder in ENGI

The German company Linde has acquired a majority shareholding in the Entreprise Nationale de Gaz Industriels (ENGI),an Algerian state-owned company.The value of the transaction was not disclosed.According to Linde,the industrial gases sold by ENGI in 2006 were worth 32 million euros.It is the leading industrial gas company in Algeria,operating 10 production facilities and employing some 700 people.
