Sonatrach/BP/Statoil Consortium to Drill 33 Production Wells at the Southern In Salah Fields Between 2012 and 2016

A contract worth $1,185 million was signed in Algiers on 11 April between the consortium composed of Sonatrach, BP and Statoil, on the one hand, and Petrofac, on the other, covering the development of gas fields in the southern part of the In Salah zone, the Algerian national oil company has announced. As reported earlier by AOG (see our edition on 1 Feb., 2011), Petrofac won the international tender for this valuable contract, which covers the engineering, procurement and construction of the new facilities.
