For automated driving, the data distribution service and time-sensitive networking standards are an excellent fit. Both standards enable rapid and reliable communication flow within and across complex distributed systems and subsystems. NXP and Real-Time Innovations (RTI) illustrate with a use case how their combination can increase system reliability and address time-sensitive data streams through bounded worst-case end-to-end latencies.
