Mott MacDonald to Design All the Infrastructure of Masdar City, Where Irena Is to Be Based

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company that is behind the Masdar clean energy initiative, has selected Mott MacDonald for the design of all the infrastructure of Masdar City. This will be the world's first carbon-neutral, zero-waste city and one of its features will be a personal rapid transit system that will be powered by renewable energies, with all other vehicles being banned.
