FeCr prices to climb in Europe due to multidirectional factors

FeCr prices have slid in Europe in August amid seasonally slow trading. HC FeCr has been available at about $1.24-1.3/lb Cr DDP ($1.24-1.34/lb Cr DDP earlier) and LC FeCr - at $2.25-2.3/lb Cr DDP (down 1). - Chinese prices have continued to decrease in August amid higher output and seasonally poor demand. Despite extensive stimulation programs, local stainless still output and, therefore, FeCr consumption will not come up visibly, Metal Expert thinks, because of the tougher opposition with the USA and the resulting negative conditions in the sales markets. However, new investments coupled with seasonal factors will stabilize FeCr prices and even push them up slightly in September-October.
