Asian prices to slide amid lower manganese ore quotes

SiMn (65 Mn; 16 Si) has been available in January at around $1,030/t CIF, down $10/t m-o-m, and HC FeMn (75 Mn) - at $1,185/t CIF, down $18/t. Referring to high inputs, Indian merchants have been trying to raise prices for SiMn (65 Mn; 16 Si) to $1,040-1,065/t FOB India in the middle of January. However, prices have dropped in the third week of the month, staying largely unchanged from December. The material (60 Mn; 14 Si) has been offered at $947.5/t FOB India, down $1.25/t, and HC FeMn (75 Mn) - at $1,133/t FOB India, down $3/t.
