Increase in Mn alloy quotes to be moderate

Demand for Mn alloys in Europe continued to firm up in December. Sellers tried to raise the prices, but succeeded mostly with minor sales. Average December price for SiMn (65 Mn, 17 Si) and FeMn (75 Mn) was EUR 890/t, up EUR 15/t from November level. Several deals for Q1 Mn alloy shipments were closed in late December. The demand was sporadic. Some end-users increased their bookings compared to the previous quarters, whereas Eastern European buyers were uninterested, since they still had stocks.
