Fortune Minerals considers B.C. slurry pipe options

Fortune Minerals is one step closer to a decision on a slurry pipeline from its Mount Klappan anthracite mine project site in northwestern British Columbia. The Canadian natural resources firm has received preliminary cost figures from consultant Marston Canada comparing the capital and operating costs of a slurry pipeline with those of truck and rail transportation. Fortune will proceed with a more detailed engineering study once it has received the consultants' final report, Vice-president Julian Kemp told Argus, and will make a definitive "go-no/go" determination from there.
