Thames Tideway East tunnel underway

Mott MacDonald, a UK global engineering and development consultancy, is designing the eastern section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel on behalf of a joint venture involving Costain Ltd, VINCI Construction Grands Projets, and Bachy Soletanche. Tideway is delivering the biggest infrastructure project ever undertaken by the UK water industry, which will see 25 kilometers of tunnels constructed beneath London. It will make London's sewerage network prepared for the 22nd century and will help prevent millions of tons of sewage pollution that currently discharges into the tidal River Thames every year.
