Yokogawa acquires Industrial Evolution

Yokogawa Electric Corporation of Tokyo, Japan announced its acquisition of Industrial Evolution Inc. (Phoenix, Arizona, USA), a pioneer in the field of cloud-based, plant data-sharing services, in early January 2016 to strengthen its Internet of Things-based advanced solutions business. Expansion of the advanced solutions business in the industrial automation and control field is one of Yokogawa's top priorities. Based on Industrial Evolution's cloud business environment, Yokogawa will provide Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), a cloud-based service for the provision of data that facilitates its use as a management asset.
