The city of Bucharest, Romania, selected the consortium of SUEZ, FCC - Aqualia to modernize its wastewater treatment plant and to build a treatment and sludge-to-energy plant in Glina, located southeast of the capital. With this contract, worth approximately US$132 million for the consortium and $54 million for SUEZ, the group reinforces its presence in Eastern Europe.
