According to Grundfos, being able to efficiently control the speed of a vessel's cooling pumps according to the temperature of the sea significantly reduces energy consumption and costs. Cooling systems are typically designed to cool at a constant seawater temperature of 32℃ - regardless of whether the vessel is sailing around tropical seas or Arctic waters.
