Drilling activity in the United States and Canada continues to trend in opposite directions, climbing in the former and retreating in the latter. US drilling totaled 432 rigs for the week ended Friday April 9, up by 0.47 from 430 rigs the previous week but still down by 28.24 from 602 rigs at the same time last year, according to data from Baker Hughes Inc.
