COSCO Dalian order scaled back

Cosco Dalian Ocean Shipping has scaled back an existing VLCC newbuilding order at Guangzhou Shipyard International. On 31 October the yard confirmed the order for three 308,000dwt VLCCs, with options for two others, which are part of a potential order for 10 VLCCs for this Chinese shipowner. However, at the subsequent contract signing, this was reduced to two firm ships and two optional vessels.
