PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to see a tip edge by eyes by constituting a scaler tip itself of a transparent body and making the scaler tip not becoming a shadow with an illumination light which illuminates a front part (operation part) or by illuminating light from the tip of the scaler. ;SOLUTION: In the figure, 10 is a hand-piece, 20 is a power source cord, 30 is a scaler tip, L is an illumination light. The scaler tip 30 is made of a transparent material, for example, a resin. The tip 30 therefore transmits the illumination light L and remains no shadow of the tip 30 (or if a shadow appears, it is thin), such a thing does not occur that it is hard to do a work. In addition, when light is introduced into the tip 30, the light is radiated from the tip 30. Therefore, even if the tip part of the tip 30 is out of the illumination range of the illumination light L, since the light led to the edge of the tip 30 is radiated from the edge of the tip 30, surgeons can see the edge of the tip 30 by their own eyes and perform works easily.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
