'New Horizon 2007' calls for boost ing the total handling capacity of NYK's containership fleet from 280,000TEU at the end of fiscal year 2004, to 380,000TEU at the end of fiscal 2007, and increasing its annual cargo volume from 3 million TEU to 4 million TEU over the same three-year period. Moreover, the plan aims to further expand total handling capacity and cargo volume to 500,000TEU and 6 million TEU respectively - twice their current levels-by fiscal 2010. Masamichi Morooka, NYK managing director in charge of the Container Trade Management Group and the Harbor Group commented: 'During fiscal 2005, NYK intends to boost its container slots by 11%, and expand total cargo volume to 3.5 million TEU.
