Safmarine pulls out of Australia

Safmarine has announced that it will be withdrawing from the Australian market on January 1, 2008. It has served Australia for many years, providing weekly services between Australia and South Africa, South-East Asia and North-East Asia. Its service from Australia to South Africa currently utilises Maersk Line's feeder vessels between Australia and Port Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), which connect with its Safari service vessels operating between Asia and South Africa.
