Second UK CFD allocation round to begin in October

The second round of allocation for contracts for difference (CFD) subsidies for renewable energy development in the UK will begin on 21 October and run until March 2016, UK energy minister Ed Davey said. The round will follow the expected announcement of the CFD scheme’s new strike prices in July. An actual timeframe for the process will be confirmed after the general election on 7 May. Details of the budget available for the round are also expected after the outcome of the election.
