Viridis to triple pellet revenues,hit capacity

Canadian wood pellet manufacturer Viridis Energy expects to triple its revenues this year,as its 120,000 t/year Nova Scotia plant hits full production capacity. “We expect to near$40mn in revenue in 2014,almost triple 2013,”Viridis CFO Michele Rebiere told Argus.The company expects to reach full production capacity at its Scotia Atlantic plant later this year.Viridis’revenues jumped to$13.9mn last year from$9.6mn in 2012. Viridis also announced Thursday the receipt of a Cana-dian government grant for up to C$517,520.It will use the grant to purchase new equipment for its Nova Scotia plant. The company has invested almost$2mn in the plant over the past year,Rebiere said.
