Italian premium pellet imports set for further rise

Italy’s consumption of premium pellets will reach 2.7mn t this year,up by 300,000t from the previous year,and is likely to reach 3mn t in 2015,Italian bioenergy group AIEL said.Italy remains Europe’s largest importer of premium pellets as domestic production only accounts for 300,000t, or 12.5pc,of total demand.
