A concluded spot coaster deal dragged the cif ARA spot index lower on Wednesday, falling by 88￠/t to $121.91/t. The deal, for about 8,000t of wood pellets over two coasters for delivery within the spot window was concluded at European dollar 105/t on a cif ARA basis - equivalent to $116.5/t. It was likely that a European handy-size vessel could be secured at a similar level if more demand emerged, traders said.
