Fees up for S.California shippers

The Boards of Harbor Commissioners at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach have jointly approved two measures which will mean higher charges for importers and exporters moving cargoes via the two gateways. Firstly, a USD35/TEU fee will be levied on every loaded container entering or leaving the two ports by short-haul (drayage) trucks, effective June 1,2008.
