Macquarie to invest in Busan New Port

Sydney-headquartered Macquarie Bank, which has been one of the leading investors in infrastructure, including ports, in recent years, has confirmed that it will participate in the stages two and three of Busan New Port development programme. The bank's investment, which is being channeled through its Macquarie Korea Infrastructure Fund (MKIF), involves the purchase for KRW66.4 billion (USD70.9 million) of a 30% equity interest in Busan New Port Container Terminal (BNCT).
