Zimbabwe bans chrome ore exports

Zimbabwe has banned all exports of unprocessed chrome ore with immediate effect to support its domestic ferro-chrome industry, and plans to ban exports of chrome concentrates from July 2022. The government of Zimbabwe expects the ban to support the domestic ferro-chrome industry by sending more chrome ore for processing at local smelters, the information, publicity and broadcasting services ministry said today.
