Global Cu deficit widens in Jan-Oct 2020: ICSG

The global copper market deficit widened on the year in January-October as refined copper production and usage increased, the International Copper Study Group (ICSG) said. The world refined copper balance between January and October was in deficit of 482,000t as usage outweighed production, widening from a deficit of 354,000t a year earlier. Global refined usage outweighed production in October, leading to a deficit of 113,000t, tightening from the deficit of 147,000t in September.
