CALB to raise battery capacity in Changzhou

Chinese lithium battery producer China Lithium Battery Technology (CALB) plans to build a 25 GWh/yr lithium-ion power battery plant in Changzhou in east China’s Jiangsu province. The 10bn yuan ($1.54bn) plant is the fourth phase of CALB’s Changzhou production complex, which will raise the firm’s total battery capacity to 100GWh in 2021. Other details, including the construction schedule and launch date of the fourth phase, were undisclosed.
