Europe: FeMo hits highest since October 2008

European ferro-molybdenum prices extended its rally on the back of soaring raw material costs, strong demand and a shortage in alloy supply in the spot market. In contrast, ferro-titanium prices declined on low demand. Prices jumped to the highest level since October 2008 as continued supply tightness and strong buying interest lifted the market. Prices for 65-70pc grade alloy exceeded the $50/kg mark today and were assessed at $50-51/kg duty paid Rotterdam, up by $6.50/kg from 10 June.
