Gulftainer posts 24 rise

Sharjah, UAE-based Gulftainer Co saw a 24% increase in trade volumes in 2012, compared with the year earlier, led by a massive 28% growth at its Khorfakkan Container Terminal which processed over 3.3m teu.The company's port portfolio covers three UAE operations, Khorfakkan, Sharjah and Ruwais, as well as in Iraq at Umm Oasr, Recife in Brazil, and the recently acquired Tripoli Port in Lebanon, with further plans across the Middle East and international territories for this year.
