Prices for US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and UK Brent crude oil benchmarks slid session to session in the week to July 3, as concerns over supply issues related to geopolitical tensions faded. The RBOB, heating oil, and gasoil contracts weakened, as well. The market was closed on Friday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday in the US.
