Chinese ethanol imports up on-month, down on-year.

According to Chinese customs data, the country imported 124.8K m~3 (784K bbl) of ethanol in Dec. 2016, down 31 on the year, but still an increase of 71.3K m~3 (448K bbl) in Nov. 2016. More than 99.9 of last month's volumes consisted of denatured ethanol, with the main suppliers being the US, South Korea and South Africa. Whole-year imports of ethanol came to 890.2K m~3 (5.6MM bbl), up from 686.9K m~3 (4.3MM bbl) in 2015.
