On June 29, the US issued permits to NuStar Logistics, L.P. to build its New Burgos refined products pipeline. The new $250MM, 10-in (25.4-cm), 108K-b/d pipe is being built in the same right-of-way as an existing 8.0-in (20.3-cm), 64K-b/d pipeline and will move refined products from Edinburg, TX (US) underneath the Rio Grande River to Reynosa, Tamaulipas Mexico. Construction on the line is expected to be completed next year, and NuStar added it is already in talks with potential shippers to move products on the line.
