Germany: Car Top Systems to close Hamburg facility

CAR Top Systems (CTS) has announced plans to close its plant in Hamburg, Germany on 30 September 2006. The roof manufacturer says that the plant is not competitive. Starting in April, the company will cut back production at the facility, which employs 220 workers. Globally, CTS has eight plants - five in Germany, two in the US and one in Belgium. It employs a total of 1,100 people.
