US: Automotive Components Holdings offers worker buyout packages

AUTOMOTIVE Components Holdings (ACH), a holding company under Ford, is offering early retirement packages to around 3,500 hourly employees at the facilities Ford took back from its former subsidiary Visteon, reports Detroit Free Press. Last year, Ford took responsibility for most of Visteon's North American factories and secured permission to cut 5,000 jobs through buyouts and early retirement. The 23 facilities were placed into ACH, which intends to sell them.
