Trade unions call off strikes at AM Spain

Workers at ArcelorMittal Spain have called off strikes that were scheduled to start on Wednesday May 20 while they review a new offer concerning the implementation of a temporary layoff plan (known as ERTE), sources told Fastmarkets on Tuesday May 19. Token strikes that were scheduled to start on Wednesday and would have affected the steelmaker’s Asturias and Sagunto sites were called off by trade unions while the company prepared a new offer for its employees.
