PKE starts CHP build in May

Energetyczny (PKE), said January 18 that construction of a new 50 MW capacity heating block at its ZEC Bielsko-Biala CHP plant in southern Poland would start in May. In December PKE signed a contract with Polish engineering firm, Polimex-Mostostal, to build the new hard coal-fired block, which will cost an estimated Zloty 594 million ($206 million) and contain a fluidized bed boiler, back pressure turbine, two peak-load boilers and heat accumulator. The block is scheduled to be commissioned in the first half of 2013.
