LC Business issues wind tender

Romanian company LC Business issued a tender January 21 for the procurement of six 1.5MW wind turbines. The turbines are to be installed in the Oravita locality near the village of Brosteni in Caras-Severin county in southwest Romania. The value of the contract - which includes the purchase, transportation and installation of the turbines - is estimated at RON 28.16 million (?6.84 million). Potential bidders must meet a number of criteria including: disclosure of financial records for the past three years, an annual minimum turnover for 2006-2008 of ?16 million and have completed at least one similar contract in past three years with a minimum value of RON 28,163,200 (?6.84 million). In addition, interested parties are required to submit a guarantee of participation of RON 560,000 (?136,079), which is valid for 90 days. Bids must be submitted in Romanian no later than March 10, 2010 at 10:00.
