Prikarpatye ready for joint projects

In the end of June, delegation of the International Trade Club in Ukraine visited Ivano-Frankovsk region. The delegation embraced commercial attache from 21 countries and representatives of 19 foreign companies. Chief goal of foreign guests was to find out the opportunities for investment in the region's economy. Three-day visit of the Club's members revealed a good deal of such opportunities. Economic development of Ukrainian regions follows all-national programs and directions. Nonetheless, every region has its peculiarities, in particular, its priorities defined by numerous factors: economic and geographic location, historical traditions. Prikarpatye too has its specifics. The region's land is rich in sizable (by the scale of Ukraine) oil deposits. Hence, oil-and-gas and refining sector is among the economic cornerstones of Ivano-Frankovsk region. Extensive Carpathian woods rule priority development for wood working industry and forestry business.
