The chemical industry's leader

Azot Open Joint-Stock Company of Cherkassy is one of the leaders of Ukraine's chemical industry. The enterprise's construction started back in 1962, and the first industrial lot of ammonia was produced in 1965. Today the enterprise structure consists of 43 production sub-units. The plant employs around 5.3 ths. people. Azot Company accounts for 19.2 percent of liquid ammonia gross production, 22.8 percent - of urea, 37.9 percent - of ammonium nitrate total output, and finally the company is a monopolist producer of caprolac-tam in Ukraine. Despite numerous recent problems, Cherkassy-based Azot stabilized its production and is now moving towards planned production increase, which is especially crucial due to agricultural recovery in the country and, thus, growing demand for Azot's output. Working staff also relates few recent changes at Azot to new management and Director General - Vladimir Beliy, as well as to expanding cooperation with the old partner EnergoTranslnvest Company. The latter has rich experience of internal and foreign market operations, thus, consolidating trade relations of Azot. And when one thinks of multiple steps made recently to improve management system, upgrade production facilities, and expand production range, it will become clear how the enterprise made such a great breakthrough.
